Mankind has accomplished much since first appearing on this planet yet it's not difficult to notice the negative changes that are occurring in the world, especially to nature and natural places.

With the quest for progress that seems to drive humanity we are placing this little blue planet, which has thrived for billions of years, in jeopardy. The natural world has been uniquely suited to rebound from all natural events since the beginning but the volume and pace of human-made change seen today is overwhelming. As a result of our intrusive and shortsighted habits we are creating an unprecedented host of environmental alterations that day by day are slowly but surely damaging the very ecosystems that we depend upon for our existence.

Through my photography I attempt to provide a momentary glimpse of the diversity that is this planet. I sincerely hope that these images will inspire an appreciation for nature while it is still here to be appreciated.

I hope you enjoy the beauty and mystery of the natural world captured within these images and can learn to value the unique contribution that each species and place provides. My aim for you after viewing these images is that you are moved to action; moved to go into the world to see these places, plants and animals for yourself and also moved to help protect them for future generations to enjoy as well.
